Kasicki earns All-League honors

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Crossroads League has announced its 2012-13 All-League selections for women’s tennis and among the list of honorees is Huntington University freshman Cassie Kasicki as voted on by the conference coaches.

Kasicki, a Rockford, Illinois native (Guilford H.S), wasted no time transitioning to the collegiate level where she quickly gained the respect of her conference opponents. She earned the honor for her outstanding play in singles action where she split her time at HU’s No. 1 and No. 2 spots.

She spent the first half of the season playing #2 singles where she went 5-0 before earning the Foresters’ top spot where she collected three wins against two losses. She finished the season with an overall singles record of 8-2 which included going 5-2 in Crossroads play.

The Foresters (3-9) wrap up the fall portion of their schedule tomorrow when they travel to Tiffin University for a 3:15 p.m. match.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 46 NAIA All-America honors and 202 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
