HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Huntington University men’s soccer coach Russ Lawson has announced that Hamilton Heights standout Ben Stauffer has signed a letter of intent to play at HU this fall.

Stauffer played a vital role in the Huskies’ attack the past couple of seasons as a striker and midfielder. This past fall he was recognized for his work on the field by being named to the Mid-Indiana Conference Second Team and representative at the North/South All-Star game for the second straight year.

“We are very excited that Ben will continue his career at Huntington,” says Lawson. “He is a hardnosed striker who reads the game well and has the ability to generate offense.”

Stauffer has also gained valuable experience playing his club ball for Hoosier FC. Off the field he will look to make his impact in the classroom pursuing degrees in history and sports management.

Ben is the son of Patri and Shene Bogenschutz of Cicero, Ind.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
