Huntington University to dedicate Livingston Hall

Huntington, Ind.—

What: Huntington University will hold a dedication ceremony for Livingston Hall, its newest student residence, and the Fetters Chapel, housed in the lower level of Livingston Hall.

When: The dedication ceremony will be held from 11-11:30 a.m. on Saturday,
Oct. 4.

Cristi Bushnell, resident director for Livingston Hall, will lead tours of the new residence hall, at 10, 10:30 and 11 a.m. Media are welcome to participate in one of these tours.

Where: The ceremony will be held on the grassy knoll opposite the front entrance of Livingston Hall.

Speakers: Dr. G. Blair Dowden, president of Huntington University; Dr. Nellie Birdsall, resident of the original Livingston Hall; Cristi Bushnell, resident director for Livingston Hall; Bob Henry, assistant director of campus ministries; Dr. Paul Fetters, professor emeritus

Note: Livingston Hall officially opened to students Friday, Aug. 22. The modern student residence is designed to house 156 undergraduates, primarily freshmen and sophomores. Construction began in the summer of 2007. Livingston Hall’s chapel is named the Paul R. Fetters Chapel after Dr. Paul Fetters, professor emeritus, theologian and pastor.
