Zezula awarded by IAHPERD president

Huntington, Ind.— Dr. Patricia A. Zezula, professor of physical education at Huntington College, received a presidential citation by Dr. Hull, Indiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD) president, for her outstanding work and involvement with IAHPERD in 2002.

Dr. Zezula is chair of the IAHPERD awards committee, which is in charge of selecting a complete slate of nominees for the various awards. The awards Zezula and her committee are in charge of include teachers of the year for health education, elementary physical education, middle school physical education, secondary physical education, recreation and dance.

Awards also included are association awards commending honor, leadership, outstanding student, pathfinder and young professional.

Dr. Zezula received her EdD in educational administration from Ball State University. She served several years as athletic director and coach at Huntington College, and has published a book on children's physical activities in elementary schools. Zezula is involved in state and national associations in health, physical education and recreation.
