Andrews, Johnson Forester Athletes of the Week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athletes of the Week for the week of October 31-November 6, 2005. Two Forester cross country runners, junior Molly Andrews and freshman Nick Johnson, earned the honors for their excellent efforts during the week’s competitions.

Molly Andrews

Molly Andrews, a math education major from Greenwood, Ind. (Greenwood Community High School), turned in another personal best at the NAIA Region VIII Cross Country Championships. Her time of 19:28 took four seconds off her previous season best and her 15th place finish not only paced the Foresters, but also earned her NAIA All-Region honors for the first time in her career. Huntington finished seventh in the standings with a team score of 179.

Nick Johnson, an exercise science major from Huntington, Ind. (Huntington North High School), was the Foresters' top finisher in the men's NAIA Region VIII event. He crossed the line in 26:38 for 20th place. Huntington’s men also finished seventh in the team standings with a score of 149.
