McGraw, Sauter named Forester Athletes of Week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athletes of the Week for the week of March 3-9. Women’s track sophomore Bethany McGraw and men’s track freshman Tobias Sauter earned the honor for their outstanding efforts during the week.

Bethany McGraw, an exercise science major from Toledo, Ohio (Toledo Christian High School), competed in two events for Huntington at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships. She finished ninth in the long jump with a leap of 18-01.50 and she was 21st in the triple jump with her mark of 35-10.75.

Tobias Sauter
Tobias Sauter, a recreation management major from Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, earned NAIA All-America honors with a fourth place finish in the 5000 meter run at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships. He finished ninth in the preliminary round with a time of 15:23.39 and then took 22 seconds off his time in the finals as he crossed the line in 15:01.12. The Foresters will begin their outdoor season on March 15 at the Berea College Invitational at 11 a.m.
