Huntington, Ind.—Huntington College head baseball coach Mike Frame has announced that Fairfield High School senior Alex Fisher has signed a letter of intent to attend Huntington College this fall. In 1997, the senior shortstop/pitcher hit .474 and was 9-3 on the mound with a 3.07 ERA. This year Fisher hit .413 with 2 home runs, 2 triples, 12 stolen bases, 28 runs, and 15 RBI. "We are tremendously excited that Alex has decided to continue his education and play baseball at Huntington College," says Frame. "He is an outstanding athlete and we believe that he will develop into one of the top players in our conference. He is very competitive and has outstanding work habits. Not only is he a quality player, but he is also a quality person both on and off the field. We will look at him primarily in the outfield and on the mound, and we expect him to make a big contribution right away. "
