Dawes was the only athlete to represent the Mid-Central Conference (MCC) as an All-America golf pick.

The Leesburg native (Wawasee High School) guided the Foresters to a 69-20 record this year with his 72.7 stroke average. He was the medalist at Bethel College’s Battle at Blackhorn, the Malone University Classic and the Spring Arbor University Invitational and his consistency landed him an individual finish no lower than fourth place in HU’s six other regular season outings.

Over his four year career at HU, the Foresters compiled a 276-118 record. He guided his squad to two MCC Championships and two NAIA National Tournament appearances. As a junior, the four-time All-Conference selection was named the 2011 MCC Player of the Year by earning medalist honors at the conference tournament.

The business management major was just as adept in the classroom where he was a two-time NAIA Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Conference pick.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 187 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
