Huntington, Ind. - After posting a disappointing first round score of 319 at the NAIA Classic, the Forester golf team couldn’t dig themselves of the hole as they finished with a 631 to finish eleventh out of 14 teams at the Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis earlier this week.
Pacing the Foresters was Jordan Dawes who shot a 78 and 76 to finish with a 154. Cory Powell (81, 79) and Josh Teulker (79, 81) each posted a 160. Shooting a 162 was Matt Wilson (86, 76) and Seth Robertson (76, 86) and one stroke behind them was Mickey Belt with a 163 (81, 82).
Johnson and Wales won the event with 602 followed by Malone (609), Shorter (611), Marian (612), St. Thomas (616), Lee (619), St. Ambrose (610), Indiana Wesleyan (622), Holy Cross (625), Viterbo (627), HU (631), Madonna (632), Cornerstone (634) and Daemen (651).
The Foresters' record stands at 60-13 on the year.
