LIMA, Ohio - After finishing at the 21st spot in last spring’s final NAIA national poll, the University of Northwestern Ohio men’s tennis team picked up where they left off with an 8-1 win over Huntington Wednesday afternoon in Lima, Ohio.
Despite a solid effort at every spot, freshman Joseph Straznicky was the only Forester to pick up a win, a three-set thriller, 6-4, -6, 12-10, at #4 singles.
“UNOH is stronger than last year and they are probably the best team we will play all fall,” said Coach Eckert. “We had a lot of close matches, but couldn’t seem to find the win in our first outing of the year.”
The Foresters (0-1) are back on the prowl for a win this morning at 10:00 a.m. when they host Cornerstone University.
