Lancers take it to Foresters in MCC opener

Huntington, Ind. - Hosting their conference opener on Tuesday night, the HU volleyball team (3-4, 0-1) fell victim to the Grace College Lancers in straight sets, 25-14, 25-17, 25-11.

In a back-and-forth battle to start the first two sets, the Lancers were able to hit the gaps and overpower the Foresters as each set wore on to grab two wins before blowing it open in the third set en route to their first MCC win of the year.

Rebekah Brown led HU at the net with seven kills. Kaylee Searles added five kills and a game-high six digs. Jensen Carnahan dished out 13 assists in the losing effort. The Foresters travel to the University of Saint Francis tomorrow night for their second MCC outing of the season. 
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 187 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
