Eight HU teams recognized academically by NAIA


Huntington, Ind. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is proud to announce the 2010-11 scholar teams. A record total of 934 teams, an increase over last year’s total of 857, earned at least a 3.0 team grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the 2010-11 academic year, as defined by its institution.

Eight Huntington University teams were nominated and earned recognition in their respective sports.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 187 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
