Huntington, Ind.—On Oct. 22, the Huntington University Foundation will partner with the university’s Center for Leadership to host a luncheon open to business and community leaders.
The luncheon is part of the Center for Leadership’s monthly event series. This month it also will serve as the October event for the Huntington University Foundation, which typically plans a breakfast meeting. The luncheon will be held at noon on the campus of Huntington University.
The featured speaker at the luncheon will be David L. Neidert, director of seminary advancement and director of the Center for Christian Leadership at Anderson University. Neidert has taught at Anderson University since 1987 and is currently teaching in the ADVANCE Degree Completion Program. He is the author of “Four Seasons of Leadership” as well as nearly 50 articles that have been nationally published. In addition, he has co-authored with Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, Peter Senge and Peter Drucker. Neidert was the recipient of the 2003 Wilbur McFeely Award for his books and teaching in the area of human development and leadership.
Neidert’s presentation will address “Leaders Who Are Always in Season.”
The luncheon will be held in the upper level of Habecker Dining Commons from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $20, and it includes lunch. Discounts are available when two or more individuals attend from the same business or organization. Also, guests of foundation members may attend free of charge. The Huntington University Center for Leadership is housed in the EXCEL Adult Degree Programs office on the university’s campus. The CFL provides leadership training and resources to businesses, community leaders and pastors in northern Indiana under the direction of Dr. Rick Upchurch, director of the EXCEL program.
Since 1938, the Huntington University Foundation has assisted Huntington County residents who attend Huntington University through the annual Huntington County Grant and endowed scholarships. The foundation also supports community arts events.
