HUNTINGTON, Ind. — Dr. John “Chuck” Chalberg, actor and professor of American history at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minn., will be portraying G. K. Chesterson in the upcoming Forester Lecture on April 11.

The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University.

A graduate of Brainerd Junior College and Regis College, Chalberg holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in history from the University of Minnesota.

English writer and philosopher G.K. Chesterson (portrayed by Chalberg) will offer his own unique views on everything from the virtues of things small, whether they are families or pubs, to the evils of things large, whether they are imperialist schemes or socialist states. A man of paradox and humor, he will surprise you, confound you and provoke you.

The Forester Lecture Series is designed to bring interesting individuals and topics to the attention of students and the regional community. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The Forester Lecture Series is coordinated by Dr. David Alexander, assistant professor of philosophy at Huntington University. For more information, contact Alexander at 260-359-4305.
