Inflatable humor to spark laughter and delight at MCA

Huntington, Ind.—Huntington University’s Merillat Centre for the Arts welcomes the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co. on Friday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m. This Community Arts Event, held in the Zurcher Auditorium, is a performance the whole family, from grandchildren to grandparents, can enjoy.

Fred Garbo and Daielma Santos create a fast-paced, energetic, universally engaging theatre spectacular that has won the praise and affection of audiences around the world. They have been showcased on the Late Show with David Letterman, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., on Broadway at the New Victory Theater and on stage and television in such places as Chile, Japan, Ireland and Brazil, among others.

Bursting with original, colorful suits of all shapes and sizes, Fred Garbo Theater Co. includes dexterous juggling, dance, hilarious comedy, mischief and art. “Fred Zeplin,” a human beach ball, was the first invention of this air-filled adventure. Since then, the performance team has created various shapes, sizes, costumes, animals, and furniture for the performance. Truly universal in its appeal, the show transcends age and language.

To reserve tickets, contact the Merillat Centre for the Arts Box Office at (260) 359-4261. General admission prices range from $11 to $15 depending on seating preferences. Student prices are set at $4 and a $2 discount is available for seniors.

The performance of Fred Garbo Theater Co. will take place during the Homecoming & Family Weekend at Huntington University. For more information on Merillat Centre for the Arts events, visit the web site at
