Dr. George Killian
Director of Chorale Activities & Music Education
Associate Professor of Music

Dr. George W. Killian, Jr., earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Anderson University and received a Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Ball State University. In December of 2000, Dr. Killian graduated from Arizona State University with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral music.

Dr. Robert Lynn, Huntington University, a Christian college

Dr. Robert Lynn
Adjunct Professor of Music

Dr. Robert Lynn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in music performance, with emphases in both tuba and cello, from William Jewell College. He received a Master of Arts degree in music performance from Truman State University. In July of 2005, Dr. Lynn graduated from Ball State University with a Doctor of Arts degree in music performance.

Eric Clancy
Adjunct Faculty (Jazz Improv)

Eric Clancy started out in music as a mostly self-taught pianist. Later, he received instruction in harmony and composition from George Rickton, a student of Allan Reuss who played with Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington.

John Gardner
Adjunct Faculty (Applied Clarinet/Saxophone)

John Gardner attended the University of Kentucky on full scholarship. During those four years, he was winner of the School of Music's Concerto Competition, student conductor of the Concert Band, president of Phi Mu Alpha Honorary Music Fraternity and principle clarinet in the University Orchestra.

Dr. Ji Young Jeoung
Adjunct Professor Accompanist, Instructor for Class Piano I and II

Dr. Ji Young Jeoung, was born in Gwangju, South Korea. She is currently works as a piano instructor at Huntington University and Manchester University in Indiana.

Joni Killian, Huntington University, a Christian college

Joni Camille Killian, lyric soprano, is a native of Columbia City, Indiana. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Choral Music Education from Anderson University and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University.

Terra Rowley earned a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Northwestern University in June of 1992.

Phil Schurger
Adjunct Faculty (Guitar Instructor)

Phil Schurger began playing music professionally at the age of 17. At the age of 21 he began playing and studying Jazz and 20th century music in depth.

Elizabeth Smith, Huntington University, a Christian college

Elizabeth Smith
Adjunct Professor (Applied Violin)

Elizabeth was born in Northampton, England. She gained her Bachelor's degree in music from York University where she served as concert mistress of the the University Symphony orchestra and performed solo and chamber music on violin and piano.

Nancy is responsible for new student recruitment and auditions, course scheduling, coordinating classroom schedules for the MCA, maintaining instruments and office equipment, typing programs and coordinating all music department events, as well as other duties.
