Dr. Carrie Lloyd
Assistant Professor of Psychology

Dr. Carrie Lloyd came to the university in 2011 as a professor in the psychology department. Current research interests include parent-child interactions, effects of divorce and interparental conflict, benefits of play versus structured learning for infants and early child development, and parenting practices that prevent psychopathology and maladjustment.

Dr. Laura Gerig, Huntington University, a Christian college

Dr. Laura Gerig
Adjunct Professor of Psychology

Dr. Laura Gerig holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Taylor University and a master’s degree and a PhD in school psychology from Ball State University. Her doctorate specialized in neuropsychology. Her areas of interest are child development and psychological assessment.

Rick Leone
Assistant Professor of Social Work

Father Rick Leone has taught at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in the Human Services Department, at Ivy Tech in the Sociology Department and has worked at SouthernCare Hospice providing pastoral care, social services and bereavement services for clients and families.
