Speed named Crossroads League Player of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Huntington University senior Pazia Speed was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week for the week of December 23 as announced earlier this week.

Speed earned the honor for her performance in HU’s 70-55 win over #RV IU Southeast on December 16. The 5-7 guard topped the Foresters with 20 points to go along with a game-high six assists, three steals and three rebounds.

Speed is currently pacing Huntington with 18.5 points and 4.0 assists per outing. She is shooting 88.1 percent from the charity stripe which places her 9th in NAIA Division II in free throw percentage. To date, The Portland (Ind.) native has tallied 1,132 points for a career average of 11.9 ppg.

After nearly a two week break, the Foresters (9-3) are back in action tonight when they travel to Purdue Calumet for a 6:00 p.m. CST tip-off.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
