Alumni Employment Opportunities

Head of Media / Podcast / Video – Elite Sports Academy

Location: Phoenix, AZ (near GCC – 10215 N 43rd Ave)
Start Date: Summer 2026
Employment Type: Full-Time, Paid Salary

Elite Sports Academy, in partnership with Heritage Academy(leading our academics), is opening Fall 2026 and is searching for a Head of Media/Podcast/Video to build and lead our creative media department from the ground up.

We are not just another sports school—we’re creating something truly special. With a fully built-out on-campus TV studio (valued at over $1M in equipment, including 4K cameras, a green screen, and a set that feels like a hybrid of ESPN and TV 15), we’re looking for someone with the vision and skills to bring our athletes’ stories to life.

One of our flagship projects will be “Elite Edge”—a high-quality, documentary-style series following some of the highest-ranked 6th–12th grade athletes in the nation across football, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, track, and volleyball. Think Netflix/Prime-level storytelling—except no one’s done it for elite young athletes before.

This is a rare opportunity to combine sports, media, and storytelling in a role that will shape the culture and brand of Elite Sports Academy for years to come.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all media production efforts, including video, podcast, live streaming, and creative content.
  • Develop and execute the Elite Edge docu-series and other original projects.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the on-campus TV studio.
  • Manage production schedules, from pre-production to editing and final distribution.
  • Work closely with student-athletes, coaches, and staff to capture and share their stories.
  • Create engaging content for social media, web, and broadcast platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing to build the Elite Sports Academy brand nationally.
  • Stay on top of media trends, storytelling styles, and sports coverage innovations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in video production, podcasting, or media directing (sports storytelling experience is a huge plus).
  • Strong editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar).
  • Knowledge of professional-grade cameras, studio lighting, audio, and green screen production.
  • Creative vision with the ability to craft compelling sports stories.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Leadership experience—capable of mentoring and building a small production team.
  • Passion for sports, athletes, and innovative storytelling.

What We Offer

  • A full-time paid salary position.
  • Access to a state-of-the-art studio with industry-level equipment.
  • Creative freedom to build original shows and series.
  • Opportunity to be a founding member of a one-of-a-kind sports academy.
  • Work that will directly influence the careers of top-ranked young athletes.
  • A chance to build something that has never been done before in youth sports media.
