Counseling Preview Day
Virtual
Licensed to Listen… in! That’s right, you are licensed to listen in to all the wonderful things about Huntington University’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. And you’re hearing those wonderful things from the faculty, current students, and graduates of the programs itself.
And in this time of COVID-19, it’s all virtual.
Join us at noon for virtual coffee with Dr. Jerry Davis, professor of clinical mental health counseling and director of clinical experiences. Perhaps one of the most relaxing individuals on campus, Dr. Davis will share about his personal experience as a counselor, his philosophy behind counseling, and his heart from training and guiding counselors toward the profession to which they are called.
At 1:00 p.m., we’ll take you on a virtual tour of our beautiful campus. You might be wondering, “As a graduate student, why do I care about campus?” Let’s just say, your tour guide will be a current counseling grad student and she’ll share about her relationship with the campus while giving you a tour of the beautiful grounds.
We will keep things moving during this virtual preview day with a counseling graduate “reunion” at 3:00 p.m. Not only will you hear straight from the horse’s mouth about the grad school experience at HU, you’ll also get to listen in to them as they reflect on their counseling careers and catch up with Dr. Davis.
Concerned about the cost of earning your masters? Don’t be! In fact, we will be hosting a Q&A with our director of financial aid at 4:00 p.m. Grab a cup of coffee and bring your questions! We’ll provide a number for you to text your questions.
Last but certainly not least, experience a class with the one and only Dr. Jerry Davis. No pressure, just sit back and observe, virtually, Dr. Davis’ Knowledge and Skills of Mental Health Counseling class and see what it would be like to be a student in Huntington University’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
