During Scholars Day...

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Record a brief video in response to an interview question.
    (15 scholarships, including 1 full-tuition scholarship, will be awarded to participants.)
  • Explore the Huntington University Honors Program.
  • Connect with faculty, staff, and current students.
  • Enjoy a complimentary lunch with fellow scholars at our Dining Commons.
  • Experience our vibrant campus community.
  • Have parents join in this special day with a welcome session and other activities available throughout the day.

Can the Huntington Scholars Day awards be combined with other scholarships?

Yes, scholarships awarded from this event will stack with academic & athletic scholarships.

Are parents invited to this event or is it for students only?

Yes, we welcome parent attendance, though it is optional. Throughout the day there will be various group sessions that parents can attend while their scholar participates in interviews or alongside their scholar once their interviews are complete. Session topics will include financial aid, the Honors Program, and HU community.  A complimentary lunch is also included for parents.

Where should I park when I arrive and where will the competition begin?

Please enter campus via the Guilford Street main entrance and park in the large lot at the Merillat Centre for the Arts building.  Check-In and our Opening/Closing Sessions will take place inside the MCA. 

What should I wear to the competition?

We kindly suggest that scholars dress their best in business professional as if attending a job interview. 

Am I required to stay the entire day?

We do ask that your scholar attends the day in full in order to complete their scheduled interviews and glean sufficient information from sessions.

What should I do if I cannot attend this date but am interested in additional scholarship opportunities?

Please note that there are 3 dates offered for Huntington Scholars Days. Invited students may attend any one of the dates and they must attend in-person.

Can I attend the competition virtually?

This event is in-person only.  Hopefully one of the three dates offered will suit your schedule!

When will I find out the results of the competition?

Following a committee’s compilation of results, we expect to contact all scholars with their results within 2 weeks after each event.
