Celebrate 70 Years of Handel’s Messiah

For seven decades, Huntington University’s Concert Choir—joined by devoted community members—has carried on the cherished tradition of performing Handel’s Messiah. This timeless masterpiece has inspired audiences worldwide since its first presentation in 1742, and Huntington University’s annual performance has become a treasured local tradition.
This year’s Messiah concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (903 N. Jefferson St., downtown Huntington, IN). Known for its beautiful acoustics, St. Mary’s sanctuary provides a wonderful setting for the voices and orchestration of Handel’s work.
