Joined the Huntington University faculty in 2026.
Jess Hatcher is teaches in the Department of Psychology and hopes to build relationships with her students while making courses engaging and experiential.
Jess equally enjoys being active and a homebody. In the summer, Jess can be found running, biking, swimming, walking her dog, watching basketball and playing pickleball. In the winter, she enjoys seeing movies, reading books, and listening to podcasts. Relationships play a key role in her life, and she enjoys quality time with her friends and family in every season.
Jess has her own private practice, Abide Therapy, where she continues to see clients and work within the community to facilitate conversation and education.
Education:
Master of Arts degree in mental health counseling from Huntington University
Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and youth leadership development from Anderson University
Notable Experiences:
- Multiple roles within residence life and counseling services for seven years, Huntington University
- Taught in the Department of Psychology between 2019-2023, Huntington University
- Worked in community mental health for five years, Bowen Health, Huntington, Indiana
