Before returning to his alma mater Keirsh worked for the Fort Wayne Tincaps and NBC33 and spent four years as a patrolman for the Fort Wayne Police Department on the south side of Fort Wayne. Keirsh is originally from Franklin, Indiana, but now calls Huntington University home. He is a third-generation police officer, with his father currently serving as a police chief in Franklin, Indiana. His favorite memory from his days at HU is missing class only to have Dr. Miller bring the class to his residence hall room, lecturing while Keirsh’s classmates sat around the room and took notes. Keirsh is an avid hiker and has climbed three of the tallest mountains over 14,000 feet; he also boasts the distinction of being at game seven when the Cubs won the World Series. His favorite pastimes besides hiking include rooting for the New York Yankees or the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
