Missy Blackmer has over 20 years of experience working with adults, youth and families in the school, home, community and mental health clinic setting. She is also a seasoned presenter, trainer, leader, program director and educator. She currently serves as a trainer at Parkview.  In addition, she is the owner of Blackmer Coaching, Counseling and Consulting, LLC, which launched in April 2022 and The Mental Health Chick which launched on social media in 2018.

Missy joined Huntington University in 2018 as an adjunct faculty member for the graduate counseling program.  Missy attended IPFW and earned her Master’s in Counselor Education. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. In addition, she is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In 2021, she also completed her MBA through Capella University.  In her spare time, she enjoys s spending time with her husband of 24 years, their two boys and their two dogs.
