Bob Young joined the Huntington University staff in 2025.

Bob Young is a mission-driven advancement executive with over a decade of leadership experience in Christian higher education and nonprofit development. As vice president for university advancement, Bob leads strategic fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and institutional advancement in alignment with the University’s Christ-centered mission.

A thoughtful collaborator, Bob is passionate about building a culture of shared ownership for fundraising and enrollment goals across the University. He is committed to fostering community, developing leaders, and advancing the strategic priorities of Huntington University for long-term sustainability and spiritual vitality.

Outside of his professional calling, Bob and his wife, Natalie, are actively involved in their local church, where they have served in small group leadership — fostering community, spiritual growth, and discipleship. He is passionate about the outdoors and finds renewal through archery, hunting, and fishing. Among his most memorable experiences are a fly-fishing trip on the Missouri River in Montana and salmon fishing in the pristine waters of Alaska.

Bob also enjoys traveling with his wife to visit their children and grandchildren, with frequent trips to Colorado, Texas, and Florida. These family moments and outdoor adventures reflect his appreciation for God’s creation, intentional relationships, and a balanced life rooted in faith, family, and purpose.

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in human resource management from Messiah University
In progress: Master of Arts degree in strategic leadership from Messiah University — transferring to Huntington’s Master of Business Administration program
