2000-2001 department award recipients

Huntington, Ind. " The 30th annual Huntington College Forester night was held on Tuesday, May 8. Dr. Linda Urschel of the English department was named Professor of the year. Seniors Molly Deuberry of Chesterton, Indiana and Dustin Abshire of Brownsburg, Indiana were named Foresters of the Year. Additional honors were given to an outstanding student from each academic department. Departmental Awards are given in recognition of students who have excelled in their course work throughout their tenure at Huntington College. The following graduating seniors were recognized.
Tonya Lonsbury, a graphic design major from Huntington, Indiana received the departmental award in art.
Joshua Miller, a Bible and religion major also of Huntington, Indiana received the departmental award for Bible and Religion.
Scott Sommers, a biology major from Uniondale, Indiana received the departmental award in Biology.
Matthew Hawkins a business management major from Huntington, Indiana received the departmental award in business and economics.
Joshua Bean a media broadcasting major from Olivet, Michigan received the departmental award in communication.
Michael Yates, a history education major from North Vernon, Indiana received departmental awards in both education and history and political science.
Amy Smith a double major in history and English from Howe, Indiana received the departmental award in English.
Jennie Mach, an exercise science major from Milbank, South Dakota received the exercise science departmental award.
Arin Martin a math education major from Decatur, Indiana received the departmental award in the area of mathematical and computer sciences.
Kimberly Dreisbach, a music performance major from Fostoria, Ohio received the departmental award in Music.
Victoria Groetzinger, a recreational management major from Tallmadge, Ohio received the recreational management departmental award.
Sarah Lightcap, a psychology major from Woodburn, Indiana received the psychology departmental award.
Sharon Connor a sociology major from Huntington, Indiana received the departmental award in sociology.
John Warden, a communication/ theatre major from Maineville, Ohio received the departmental award in theatre.
