All-American Status Secured for Johnson

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The accolades keep coming for Huntington University's standout big man as Kaden Johnson has been named a Third Team All-American by the NAIA national office.

Johnson was one of just 17 players across the country selected to the Third Team and one of only three representatives from the Crossroads League to earn national recognition, cementing his status among the NAIA's elite after a dominant senior campaign for the Foresters.

A 6-foot-11 forward from Hartford, Michigan, Johnson put together a breakout season, averaging a double-double with 17.2 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. A force on both ends of the floor, he also contributed 2.6 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest.

His presence on the glass was among the nation's best, ranking third in the NAIA in rebounding, while his efficient 63.3 shooting percentage placed him 31st nationally.

Johnson's impact was equally recognized within the Crossroads League, where he was named First Team All-League and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. In just two seasons in Forester green, he totaled 717 points and 502 rebounds, leaving a lasting imprint on the program.

Behind Johnson's leadership, the Foresters compiled an impressive 22-9 record, including a 12-6 mark in league play to finish third in the Crossroads League standings. Huntington also secured its fifth consecutive trip to the NAIA National Tournament and hosted opening-round action for the second straight year.

Johnson becomes the 16th player in program history to earn NAIA All-American honors, further adding to the legacy of excellence for the Foresters.
