Athlete of the Week honor goes to Brett Snodgrass

Huntington, Ind. " The Huntington College athletic department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of December 1-7, 2002. Men's basketball senior Brett Snodgrass earned the honor for his excellent efforts during the week's competitions.

Snodgrass, an Elementary Education major from Lawrenceburg, Ind. (East Central High School), led the Foresters to a 2-1 record for the week. In each of the three games, Snodgrass took game-high honors. His 78 points for the week came from hitting 26-46 from the field, a .565 shooting percentage. In Tuesday's 93-71 victory over Rio Grande, Snodgrass tallied 30 points, 12 rebounds and two steals. At Trinity International on Wednesday, he totaled 26 points with three rebounds and three assists in a 90-69 triumph. In Saturday's 74-70 loss to the University of Findlay, Snodgrass hit for 22 points. His overall total points currently stands at 1,596, moving him into the 12th position of all-time point-scorers for the Foresters. Snodgrass is a returning NAIA honorable mention All-American and All-America Scholar Athlete. He has accomplished Dean's List honors three times at HC. The No. 8 Foresters are currently 12-1 on the season.

The Huntington College Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past six years, Huntington has produced 38 All-America honors and 67 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
