Attaboy’s ‘Wait on You’ added to Billboard’s Top 30

Huntington, Ind.-"Wait on You," a single by the Huntington-based band, Attaboy, recently was added to the Billboard Top 30 for Christian Contemporary Hit Radio. The song currently sits at No. 28 after four weeks on the chart. Its highest position to date, reached in its first week, was No. 27.

The single was released to Christian radio stations nationwide in June.

"We feel honored and humbled that 'Wait on You' has done so well on radio," said Amos Caley, vocalist and pianist for Attaboy. "We're extremely grateful to our friends and fans throughout the country who have requested or commented about the song."

Caley explained that message of "Wait on You" was personal for the band but applicable to a wider audience.

"When we wrote the song, we wanted to communicate how hard it is to wait on God's timing in our lives," he said. "Especially in our instant-gratification society, we become impatient very quickly and easily. Reading in Scripture that God is slow to anger and rich in love truly puts things into perspective, though, and gives us the power to be still and wait."

"Wait on You" was produced by Ian Eskelin and Barry Weeks who have worked with Francesca Battistelli, Stellar Kart, Avalon and other artists.

Alt-pop band Attaboy is comprised of vocalist/pianist Amos Caley, guitarist Jeff Edgel and bassist Chris Brumbaugh. Caley and Edgel are both Huntington University alumni, and Brumbaugh is a Huntington, Ind., native. In May, Attaboy released the album, Shout.

The next stop on the band's Rock Hop & Roll tour is Union Baptist Church in Union, Ky., at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 23.

"It's already shaping up to be our best tour to date," Caley said. "We love touring because we get to not only see familiar faces of our loyal fans, but we get to make new friends and share our message of hope with them."

Attaboy will be joined on the Rock Hop & Roll tour by bands Sinclair and The Fabulous.
