Berggren accepts new title at Huntington College

HUNTINGTON, IN April 28, 1997 --- Huntington College administrators announced today that effective immediately, Mr. Jeff Berggren's title will be changed from Executive Director of Admissions and Financial Aid to Dean of Enrollment.

"This change reflects the expanded responsibilities that Mr. Berggren has assumed including recruitment, financial aid, retention and institutional marketing," said Dr. G. Blair Dowden, college president. "It also is in recognition of his outstanding work in leading our enrollment efforts over the last four years."

During Berggren's tenure, total fall enrollment has increased from 578 in 1993-94 to 745 this year. The College hopes to continue this trend and plans to enroll 1,000 students by the fall of 2000.

"I have greatly enjoyed working with Jeff since he came to Huntington College in 1993," Dowden added. "He has developed an outstanding admissions team and works very effectively with faculty and staff in our recruitment efforts. He has also developed effective admissions systems and procedures. He has excellent marketing sense that he has used in his work with the advancement staff to develop a marketing plan for Huntington College. It is a pleasure to serve with him."
