Commencement speaker tours county Habitat site

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington College's 2004 Commencement speaker, Dr. KunMo Chung, was given a tour of a current Huntington County Habitat for Humanity project on Friday. Dr. Norris Friesen, Huntington College Vice President and Dean and President of Huntington County Habitat for Humanity, along with county Habitat board members John Jepsen and Jean Michelson gave Chung a tour of two completed houses on Schultz Drive and one that is expected to be finished this summerDr. Chung, a licensed nuclear engineer and experienced science administrator, currently serves as chairman of Habitat for Humanity Korea and is a member of the International Board for Habitat for Humanity. David Williams, chief operating officer of Habitat International praised Chung for his work in Korea and said he is the Millard Fuller (president of Habitat International) of Korea.
"We are currently in the process of building our third house on Schultz Drive," said Friesen, who has been president of Huntington County's Habitat for Humanity for two years. "This is the third neighborhood we have helped develop in Huntington in addition to two houses in Andrews."
Friesen said the goal of Huntington County Habitat for Humanity is to build three houses annually, though it is reliant upon sufficient funds.
