HUNTINGTON, Ind. The Huntington University Peer Award recipients for May are Sara Diehl, admissions counselor, and Pam Rudy, administrative assistant to the vice president for business and finance.
The Peer Award, which began in 2003, promotes acknowledgment and recognition of the outstanding efforts of Huntington University faculty and staff members. Award winners are chosen and recognized each month by fellow peers.
Diehl was recognized by Arthur Wilson, director of urban scholarship and mentoring, because of her dedication to the Horizon Leadership Program task force.
"As a member and admissions counselor, she has went above and beyond her call to service and job responsibilities to ensure that the Horizon program, its students and prospective ethnic-minority students are positioned for success," Wilson said. "It's been an honor serving alongside my sister, colleague, and friend."
Rudy was recognized by Susan Akins, registration services coordinator, for her willingness to help in all situations.
"Whatever the need, Pam is willing to give generously of her time and knowledge to help," Akins said. "She is always kind and greets each person with a smile! Pam definitely has a servant's heart for all people."
