Dowden to present ‘Faith, Family and Medicine’

Huntington, Ind.-Dr. Beau Dowden, a 1998 Huntington University alumnus, will give a presentation titled "Faith, Family and Medicine: Thoughts from a Family Physician" at 4 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Hiner Hall of the Science Hall at Huntington University. The seminar is part of a series titled "Christians Making a Difference in the Sciences" and is free and open to the public. Dowden, son of Huntington University President G. Blair Dowden, is a family medicine physician in Fort Gratiot, Mich., and serves on staff at the Port Huron Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Port Huron. After graduating from Huntington with a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1998, he completed his medical education at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2003 and fulfilled his residency requirement in South Bend, Ind.
