Dr. James Dobson to present centennial commencement address

HUNTINGTON, IN MAY 14, 1997 Dr. James Dobson, president and founder of Focus on the Family, will present Huntington College's 1997 commencement address at on May 17. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Exercises will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the field house of the Merillat Complex for Physical Education and Recreation. The doors will open at 2:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early.

Nearly 4,000 free tickets have been distributed to students, their families, special guests and the general public. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. All empty seats will be filled at 2:45 p.m.

Parking is available both on the Huntington College campus and at the nearby Huntington North High School. Shuttles will transport guests to and from vehicles parked at the high school.

Huntington College is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Founded in 1897 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, Huntington College offers high-quality academic programs "to equip men and women to impact our world for Christ." Located on a contemporary, wooded campus in Huntington, Indiana, the four-year liberal arts college offers graduate and undergraduate programs in nearly 50 academic concentrations.
