Tom Bancroft
Bancroft, author of Creating Characters with Personality, will present a how-to lecture about animation. He has had extensive experience with designing characters for several feature-length and short films. The public is invited to attend this free lecture.

I will show how traditional animation exists in a computer animations environment, Bancroft said. I will show some visuals, some pieces of animation and talk about the industry in general. Obviously people who are interested in the animation industry should come, but also, anyone who likes cartoons in general is welcome. I won't get too technical.

Bancroft grew up drawing comic strips with his brother, and they both entered the California Institute of the Arts in 1988. After landing an internship with the Walt Disney Company, he has since worked on 10 animated feature films, including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Mulan. He started Funnypages Productions just a few years ago and now lives in Nashville, Tenn., with his wife and four girls.
