Huntington College ranked by US News & World Report

Huntington, Ind. "Huntington College has again been listed among the top liberal arts colleges in the Midwest by US News and World Report. The magazine's newest guide to "America's Best Colleges" marks the sixth consecutive year that Huntington College has been ranked among the best in its class. US News first organizes colleges and universities by category, then ranks schools within each group. Rankings are based on a wide range of criteria, including academic reputation, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.
Huntington College was ranked 18th among the 135 institutions in its category. Other Indiana institutions listed as "top schools" by US News include St. Mary's College, Taylor University, and Manchester College.
All the US News rankings were published on the magazine's web site (http://www.usnews.com) on Friday, September 1. College-bound students can use the site to search for schools according to their own interests, fill out interactive worksheets, and search for scholarship and financial aid information.

Excerpts from the annual college rankings will be published in the weekly news magazine. The complete rankings will be published in the annual "America's Best Colleges" guidebook, available in libraries and bookstores.
Huntington College has consistently fared well in the annual US News & World Report rankings. In addition to this year's report, US News ranked Huntington among the Midwest's top liberal arts colleges in 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, and 1994. Huntington College administrators cite the school's academic reputation as a significant factor in its recent enrollment growth. Since 1993, the Huntington College student body has increased 58%, and another large incoming class is expected this weekend.
Huntington College is a four-year, co-educational Christian liberal arts college. Founded in 1897 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, Huntington College seeks to "educate men and women to impact our world for Christ." Located on a contemporary, lakeside campus in Huntington, Indiana, Huntington College offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in nearly 50 academic concentrations.
