Huntington tops Registration Weekend record

Incoming freshmen participate in "Picture This," one of the games in the HU Olympics. Huntington, Ind. "For the first time, Huntington University registered more than 200 freshmen during Registration Weekend.
Held on June 23-24 on the University's campus, the event included a record 201 freshmen. In addition, 39 more freshmen have indicated to the registrar's office that they intend to register in the near future.
We are on track to have a nice increase over last year's freshman class of 228 and to set a new record number of freshmen eclipsing the 240 freshman we enrolled in 2002, said Jeff Berggren, vice president for enrollment management & marketing.

Registration Weekend is an orientation to Huntington University for students and parents. Both attend seminars introducing them to faculty, staff and current students. Students can take placement tests, sign up for housing, have their student identification photo taken and learn about the University's wireless computer network. A highlight of the weekend is the HU Olympics, hosted by current students.
