Huntington University collects Easter baskets for SCAN

Huntington, Ind.-The Northeast Indiana Alumni Directors Consortium is hosting its annual Easter Basket Drive through March 17.

Baskets collected from area colleges and universities, including Huntington University, will be donated to the Stop Child Abuse and Neglect organization. SCAN, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect through direct service, education, coordination and advocacy. The organization serves 13 counties in northern Indiana, including Huntington County.

Businesses or members of the community may contribute Easter baskets filled with commercially-wrapped candy items (nothing homemade), toys, books, games, etc. Filled baskets should be wrapped in cellophane bags. Donations of individual items also would be appreciated.

Baskets and items to fill baskets may be brought to the office of Margaret Roush, director of alumni relations, on or before March 17. Roush's office is located on the second floor of the Administration Annex building on the campus of Huntington University.
