Huntington University to host Parent Weekend

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University will host Parent Weekend on Nov. 2-3. The event invites parents and guardians to attend class with their child, meet other parents and guardians at an ice cream social and talent show, participate in a 5K walk/run, play disc golf, or explore campus through a scavenger hunt.
Guests also are encouraged to attend the Parent Association luncheon and the Huntington University Theatre Company's presentation of "Little Women: The Musical." During the luncheon, the Mother of the Year and Father of the Year awards will be presented. The winners were nominated by their children and selected by the Huntington University Parent Council.
"Parent Weekend is a time to spend time with their child on campus, get to know other parents, and experience a bit of campus life," said Pete Schownir, Parent Association director.
