Ichthus coming to the Fort Wayne area this September

Wilmore, Ky.-Ichthus Ministries will present a one-day festival event in the Fort Wayne area on Sept. 25. The event will be held at the Kruse International Auction Park in Auburn, just north of Fort Wayne. The festival is geared toward middle- and high-school students. The artist lineup for the evening main stage is Family Force Five, Relient K and Switchfoot. Tickets for this full day event are $25 for individuals (through June 30), and $22 for groups of 10 or more (through June 30). Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.ichthusfortwayne.org.
The festival offers a unique opportunity for groups to come in early and stay late by camping on Friday and Saturday evenings at the grounds. There will be a pre-festival concert for those coming on Friday night. The festival will conclude Sunday morning with a worship and communion service.
"This is a great way for youth leaders to kick off their fall events with their youth groups. It provides a place where community can happen in groups and will offer students an incredible day of fun and music," said Ichthus CEO Mark Vermilion. "We also hope that churches and ministries from the Fort Wayne area will come together in one place and time for an event not quite like anything else offered in this region. This is why the festival theme is 'Convergence.' We want to see the community come together for this event.
Ichthus began in 1970 by a seminary professor and a few students as a response to Woodstock and has continued each year for more than 40 years. Ichthus has always been about more than music. It's about tens of thousands of people coming face to face with God and his amazing love. It's about what happens in their lives during the festival - and it's about what happens in their families, churches, schools and communities as a result.
