Leadership Luncheon seeks to ‘open minds’ to cultural differences

Huntington, Ind.-Dr. Pamala Morris will be the featured speaker at Huntington University's Leadership Luncheon on March 24. Morris is the assistant dean/director for the office of multicultural programs at Purdue University. Morris will address "Diversity in the Workplace: Opening Our Minds to People, Culture and Opportunities."

"Our ability to interact and work effectively in diverse environments will rely on our ability to recognize, understand and adapt to cultural differences," Morris said. "This session provides an opportunity for individuals to understand your place and others in a multicultural, multiethnic and multinational society."

Morris' lecture will also engage discussion about developing a diversity consciousness in the workplace, and she asks that individuals bring their experiences to share with the group.

The luncheon, sponsored by the Huntington University Center for Leadership, will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons. The cost is $15 per person. The luncheon is open to the public.
