Natural History of Falcons to be presented at Thornhill

Huntington, Ind. " Huntington College's Thornhill Nature Preserve will host Laura Edmonds, clinical director of Friends of the Soarin' Hawk, on Monday, June 16, 2003. Edmonds will give a lecture on the natural history of falcons and will have three live birds on display. Refreshments will be provided and the event is open to the public free of charge from 7 p.m. " 8:30 p.m., at Thornhill Nature Preserve.

Huntington College operates Thornhill Nature Preserve for the educational enrichment of its own students and the regional community. The 77-acre property includes a variety of diverse habitats, including evergreen and deciduous forest, a woodland pond, meadows, and wetlands. The diverse ecosystem supports a wide variety of wildflowers, mammals, and birds.
