Pence to address Huntington University Foundation

Huntington, Ind.-U.S. Congressman Mike Pence will speak about faith and government at the annual Huntington University Foundation Dinner. The event is set for Oct. 23 with a 6 p.m. reception and 6:30 p.m. dinner upstairs in the Habecker Dining Commons.

The cost of the Foundation Dinner program is $25 per person. Tables of eight may be reserved for $160. To make reservations, contact Ella Burnett at (260) 359-4069. Reservations will be taken until Wednesday. Payment should be sent to Huntington University Foundation, 2303 College Avenue, Huntington, Ind., 46750.

Rep. Pence has been active in Congress, serving on three different congressional committees, since he was elected in 2000 by the 6th district of Indiana. He also has been active in the mass media. "The Mike Pence Show" was syndicated statewide in 1992 and aired weekdays on 18 radio stations. Rep. Pence and his wife Karen, have three children. Of himself, Rep. Pence said, "[I am] a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order."
