Regional event benefits earthquake relief in Haiti

Update January 17, 2010: Brad Johnson (HU 1993), president of Mission of Hope: Haiti, used Skype to address hundreds of Hoosiers gathered for the benefit concert. He provided a first-hand report of relief efforts now underway. Colleague Larry Lance (HU 1980) added that 100,000 meals had already been distributed near Port au Prince. The evening event also included remarks from recording artist Hillary McBride and Congressman Mark Souder.

Huntington, Ind.- STAR 88.3 FM will host a community-wide event to aid disaster relief in Haiti. Proceeds will benefit Mission of Hope: Haiti, an agency led by Huntington University alumni Brad (1993) and Vanessa (Herron 1994) Johnson.
