Thornhill offers Fall Frenzie Fun Night on October 31

Huntington, Ind. " Huntington College's Thornhill Nature Preserve will offer a Fall Frenzie Fun Night on Friday, October 31, from 6:30-10 p.m. Favorite storybook characters will be on hand to entertain children and their parents while exciting events such as pumpkin carving, face painting and bobbing for apples will be provided. Participants are welcome to come dressed up in their favorite costume. The cost is free. Pumpkins to carve will be available for a $2 donation, but children and parents are allowed to bring their own pumpkins as well. Carving utensils will be provided.
Huntington College operates Thornhill Nature Preserve for the educational enrichment of its own students and the regional community. The 77-acre property includes a variety of diverse habitats, including evergreen and deciduous forest, a woodland pond, meadows, and wetlands. The diverse ecosystem supports a wide variety of wildflowers, mammals, and birds.
Thornhill provides outdoor educational opportunities through the Reiff Nature Center, MindScape Program, MindScape Academy, community events, and the Ropes Challenge Course.
