Trinity, Rush, HU to present MercyMe, Attaboy concert

Huntington, Ind.-Trinity Communications, Rush Concerts and Huntington University will present MercyMe and Attaboy in concert on Aug. 7 at Parkview Field, home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for ages six and older are $11 in advance or $16 at the door and may be purchased at the Anchor Room Bookstore, 4530 Lahmeyer Road, Fort Wayne, or Parkview Field, 1301 Ewing Street, Fort Wayne. To purchase tickets by phone or mail, contact Trinity Communications at (260) 484-1029.

MercyMe is best known for the hit single, "I Can Only Imagine," off the band's 2001 album, Almost There. The group includes Barry Graul and Mike Scheuchzer on guitar, Robby Shaffer on drums, Nathan Cochran on bass, Jim Bryson on keys, and Bart Millard on vocals. The members of MercyMe have released six independent projects and six albums as one of the flagship artists of INO Records.

Alt-pop band Attaboy is comprised of vocalist/pianist Amos Caley, guitarist Jeff Edgel and bassist Chris Brumbaugh. Caley and Edgel are both Huntington University alumni, and Brumbaugh is a Huntington, Ind., native. In May, Attaboy released the album, Shout. One of the band's singles, "Wait on You," recently was released to Christian radio stations nationwide in June.
