John Paff
Adjunct Faculty
John Paff joined Huntington University in 1993 as director of public relations. He served two decades as chief communication officer during a period of extraordinary growth and development at HU. Over time, his responsibilities expanded into senior leadership roles, including executive assistant to the president and vice president for university relations.
In 2013, he transitioned to the private sector, joining Nichols Company, a Fort Wayne-based marketing and public relations agency. He became one of three partner/owners in 2015 and supported the agency’s continued growth, relocation to downtown Fort Wayne, and client expansion.
In late 2019, John launched three new businesses: Fort Wayne Marketing to serve mid-size businesses, Petra Strategic Communications to serve non-profit and faith-based organizations, and Marketing the Midwest to focus on economic development initiatives. Through these agencies, he provides practical support in brand strategy, marketing, and public relations.
A longtime Huntington resident, John remains connected to the community and keeps close ties with Huntington University through family and ongoing involvement. He serves as an elder at College Park Church, and enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, and beekeeping.
