Troy Irick, a dedicated member of the Huntington County community for most of his life, boasts an impressive academic background. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Huntington College, majoring in Accounting and Economics. With a commitment to professional excellence, Irick holds esteemed designations as a CPA and CGMA. He furthered his education with a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, with a business cognate, from Crown College, and pursued advanced studies with a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Regent University. In 2012, he embarked on his doctoral journey in Higher Education, demonstrating his passion for continuous learning and academic achievement.

While building his academic repertoire, Irick also honed his teaching skills, accumulating over two decades of experience in part-time teaching roles. He shares his wealth of knowledge in accounting, economics, management, and finance with students in both traditional undergraduate programs and adult-degree programs. Leveraging his extensive background in for-profit business, including roles as a practicing CPA and corporate finance officer, Irick devotes additional focus to the development of for-profit business ventures within HU Ventures, Inc. This subsidiary of the University serves as a platform to support academic programs, foster innovation, and cultivate collaboration with partners across Northeast Indiana.

Beyond academia and business, Irick is deeply engaged in civic endeavors, exemplifying his commitment to community development and service. He contributes his expertise as a member of the City of Huntington Redevelopment Commission and serves on the board of Star Education Media Network, Inc., the parent company of Christian radio station Star 88.3. Through his multifaceted contributions, Irick embodies a holistic approach to leadership, blending academic rigor, entrepreneurial spirit, and civic responsibility to make meaningful impacts within Huntington County and beyond.
