Prior to taking on a full-time role, he was an assistant men’s soccer coach. He is currently the JV coach for the women’s soccer team. Mark’s desire is to know and love Christ and walk with Him in the world in such a way as to help others to know and love Christ as well. He holds degrees in educational ministries from Huntington University, a master’s degree in biblical studies from Lancaster Bible College, a graduate certificate in small group ministries from Lancaster, and a certificate in spiritual transformation from The Transforming Center. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Mark served as young adult pastor and pastor of prayer at Emmanuel Community Church, youth pastor at College Park UB Church, and associate youth pastor at King Street UB Church. He served on the United Brethren denominational task force on Human Sexuality from 2015-2017 and was an adjunct ministry professor for HU from 2018-2021.

Mark is a published author of the book "Pursuing the Third Option: Following Jesus in a Polarized World" (2018). Originally from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, he currently lives in Huntington with his family. He enjoys a variety of activities, from reading, prayer, and writing/blogging to soccer, drumming, camping, hiking, and hanging out with his wife and kids.  Huntington University is a place where God shaped his life in profound ways as a student; now, he continues to grow while he seeks to help others grow.
